Sacrament program

My sweet Ethan had his primary program last Sunday.  This boy seriously melts my heart.  So the Saturday before we had a practice.  As you can see in the first picture... Ethan was having a hard time.  He wanted me to sit with him and didn't want to sing at all.  I told him maybe he should day a little prayer to ask Heavenly Father to help him have a better attitude. So he did and all the sudden he was happy and singing so great.

So the next day he got up and was excited to get all dressed up for his program.  He decided on his own to say a prayer and ask for Heavenly Father's help again.

During the program Ethan sang sogood. After each song Ethan turned back to tell me..."Mom, Heavenly Father helped me".  And "he helped me again.... Wasn't that great?"

My dad came to watch and Ethan would also give him thumbs up during the program.

The sweetest part of the whole thing was after the sacrament was over Instead of going to find his family.... Ethan sat down, bowed his head, folded his arms and said a prayer to thank his Heavenly Father for his help!!!

How did I get such a sweet faith filled boy like Ethan??  I am so proud of him. He sang the loudest and with so much conviction.  Everyone told him  how great he was.  I could tell he was very happy.

2016 first day of school!

First day of school was a success.  It is always tiring and hard to get used to the early schedule but I think it went good.  Ethan is having a hard time adjusting to the long school day.  He is at a new school where he doesn't have any friends yet. Luckily his cousin Marlie goes there and he can sometimes play with her.  He is doing the Spanish immersion class so he learns first grade in Spanish half the day and English the other half.  I am nervous but excited to see how he does. All the other kids did pretty good.  They don't love school but they do their best.

Love my kiddos

Oh how I love these kids.   They are everything in my life.

Mustache

Ethan got this wax mustache from the bishop yesterday.  I thought he looked adorable walking down the church hallway.

Ethan as a Jedi!

Ethan went to a birthday party for his friend Tucker and he got his own jedi robe.  Ethan was so excited and I thought he looked to darn cute!

They even had their own lightsabers.  Such a fun party.

Ethan in the ER

Ethan had a really bad tummy ache. He had been throwing up and headaches the few days before too.  We took him to the ER worried about appendicitis but it was all clear and nothing serious was wrong.

They did a cat scan.
And he had to get his first iv.   He was so brave. He got some medication thru the IV and felt much better.  He said the iv felt like a tiny shot and didn't hurt at all.  He said it felt like a goldfish bite.  He was funny on the medication.  He talked a lot and very loudly.  I was so worried that something me serious was wrong and I was so happy to hear he is ok.

Kitties

We found kitties!
Jason was cleaning the backyard and found a batch of wild kitties.  Ethan was in heaven.
He kept saying that the kitty loves him so much that it won't let go of his shirt.

Mustache

Ethan got this wax mustache at church last Sunday.  I thought it was hilarious.

Ethan got sick

my little guy has had a hard couple of days.   He has been throwing up and feverish. This morning he woke up and started having a big headache.   I asked him his pain 1 to 10.  He said it was an 8.  I was really worried about him.  I told Jason that maybe we should take him to the ER.   Jason started to get ready to take us then he had a feeling that he  should give Ethan a blessing and then go to church with the rest of the kids instead of going to the ER.

I asked Ethan if he wanted a special blessing from his daddy.  He said, "Yes..... daddy will you give me a
blessing with your priesthood power"?

We sat him on a chair and Jason gave  him a beautiful blessing.  Immediately Ethan said, "Mom, Jesus healed me... My eyes aren't seeing weird anymore and my headache is a one now.".

It brought tears to my eyes because this boy has perfect faith right now. I saw the pain he was in just minutes ago.... Crying asking me why he is hurting and why it won't stop.  This had gone on since 3:30 am. and since his blessing around 11 am he hasn't complained about any headache. It is beautiful to see the priesthood blessing my family.  I am so grateful for a husband who is a worthy priesthood holder. I am grateful that my boys witnessed this beautiful miracle of the healing power of the priesthood. What am amazing example.

I am so grateful this sabbath day.

Check out this cool Wild Kratts vest made of paper!  (Ethan wanted me to add that it is made of paper). I thought it was so cute and creative.  I love the little paw on it!

This is the back of the costume.
This is the show that he was watching and made the costume from.

The Museum is always a fun time... Especially with friends!

Family ball game

Kaleb, Ethan and Jason
Dad teaching Ethan how to hit the ball!
Today Jake decided to play some ball with his little brothers.  Jason and I decided to come along to watch.  I was so proud of Jake for being such a good big brother.

We had a lot of fun until the evening was quickly interrupted after Ethan ran over to Jake while Jake was batting and Ethan accidentally got hit in the head.  He bled pretty good and was pretty nervous about it.  Everything was fine and Ethan was back to normal real quick.  He gets head Injuries way too much.
Brothers are the best !

We are missing Jaycee because she was taking a nap!

First snow!

I was hoping there was more snow but Ethan was just as happy as can be.  He went right out to make himself a mini snowman.
He was so proud of it!
Kaleb went out to play with Ethan.

After playing in the snow, we all came inside and listened to Jake play some tunes. It was so cold so Jason made us a fire to help us warm up.
Jaycee trying to hide from my picture taking. Look at the wonderful fire Jason built.
It wouldn't be a successful day without a fun game of cards to top it off.
I sure love these teenagers.  I am so grateful they still like to hang out with their old Mom!   It was such a fun family night!!!
