Journaling

Wow, it sure takes a lot of time to upload photos. I have been working all day on my blog and facebook. I am crazy but I LOVE it. I thought I'd do a little journaling since I haven't for a while.

I have approximately 49 days left till I have this baby. (That is if my Dr. is able to start me 2 weeks early), I talked to him about it yesterday and he said definately 1 week early but 2 weeks early will depend on how the baby grows. I have been sent to a specialist to track the growth of the baby. My first appointment is next wednesday. I am happy that they will be doing ultrasounds and non stress tests just to make sure everything is going good. It will definately give me piece of mind.

I have had my official diagnosis of gestational diabetes. This is not a surprise since I have had it will all my kids in the last part of my pregnancy. This is why I have big babies (Kaleb was 9lbs 11oz induced 2 weeks early). This is also why they will be monotoring me more now. It is kind of a pain because I have to check my blood sugar 4 times a day but it is important that I do what is best for the baby. I will still have treats once in a while but I can't go crazy with the sweets and carbs like I have been. One of the things I really miss is cold cereal.

Another bit of bad news I got yesterday at the Dr is that I can only have 2 people in the room while I deliver (including my husband) and they have to be 14 or older. This is because of the swine flu. We really were excited to have our older kids be able to watch their baby brother come into this world but it is just not going to be able to happen. I feel bad because we were all counting on it. Oh well, I already talked to the kids and they are sad but I told them we'd video. I'm going to be so sad to not be able to have my kids come to the hospital AT ALL and meet their baby brother. I know they will be dying to see him. Jason will have to show them some pictures or video while we are there I guess. This will be a first for me having limits at the hospital. I am not sure how visitors will work. Probably only two people to visit at a time but I don't know if I will even be able to have visitors till we get home. It is just going to be so weird. My husband on the other hand is excited to have some time with the baby and just us, without the crowd of family that we usually have. I personally love the visitors but I guess I could look at it in a postive way like Jason is. haha

Jason is still working at Slaters Transfer and Storage. They LOVE him there but who doesn't right? He is doing mechanical work. It has been a blessing to have a job even though it is slow, atleast we have something. He is going to start concentrating on building his own business again once spring hits. We'll see how that all goes. Jason is doing really good though. I just love him so much. I am so proud of how he always takes care of us. I am so grateful for him.

Jake is doing good in school I think... he doesn't bring work home very often for me to really see but I know he is a good student. I hope he continues to do his best. We talk so often about the importance of an education and getting scholarships. He is a smart boy when he applies himself. Jake is just one of the sweetest kids you'd ever know. I really missed him when he went hunting. Jake is taking piano still and he is doing so great! I am so impressed by how well he knows music. I think it has been a really good thing for him. His piano teacher Paul is very impressed with him and his ability to learn the way he does. YEAH! I am so proud.

Jaycee is doing AMAZING in school. She really goes the extra mile in her class. She is very independant. She has a drive to do her best plus more. I have no idea where she gets this quality but it is not from me. She brings home all her work and she always has positive comments on her papers like, "beautiful handwriting" "nice work" great job" She definately has a little attitude coming out. She isn't alway kind to me but I am trying really hard to talk to her in a kind voice and she is just independant. I love that she is independant though. I want her to be able to hold her own. She really is more like her Dad in that way.

Kaleb is LOVING school. I am actually kinda surprised. He is so quiet and shy ar0und people. He talks so quietly. He really looks forward to everyday of school. He has been good to do his homework too. He has been struggling more than I remember the other kids with his sight words and a few things but he is learning quickly. I think the fact that I didn't put him in preschool made him a little more behind. I should have worked with him more but I just didn't. I really regret that. I am working with him now to get him caught up. Kaleb is just such a sweet little guy. He is one of my favorite people to cuddle with (along with Jake and Jaycee of course).

Wow that was long. You must really love my family if you read this whole thing... haha

Pumpkin Carving with Bob and Janelle and family

We went to Bob and Janelle's for FHE on Monday night. We put together dinner and carved pumpkins. We don't do this very often with Bob and family but we wish we did. My kids love being at their house and play with their kids. I also love the company of Janelle, Bob and Kayla. It is a fun time everytime we are with them.
My camera was being really stupied. I think I need a new one. I was having a really hard time getting a clear picture of the lit pumpkins.

Kaleb loved his pumpkin his Daddy carved for him.

Gabe and Jake were too cool to carve a pumpkin... they'd rather be on you tube.. haha

They made home made rootbeer and the kids all loved the "smoke"

Thanks again to Bob and Janelle for always making our get togethers a great time!!

Jaycee's early Halloween Birthday Party

I thought it would be fun to do a dress up Halloween party for Jaycee's birthday this year. Her real birthday is Nov. 13th. We'll just do a family dinner for her that day. We ended up having a great time. Here is Jaycee with half of her pumpkin pinata on her head..

Cute poser... She is Gabriella from High School Musical by the way...

The boys went hunting this same weekend that we had Jaycee's party. We missed them so much. Jason said the boys had a great time with him. It definately wasn't the same without them around. Jaycee really had a hard time keeping busy without her brothers around. She was a bit emotional and bored. I was very relieved when they came home and she returned to her sweet self. I love my family and I am so glad they miss each other when they are apart. It was funny cuz Jake said to Jaycee, " I bet you didn't miss me.'' and Jaycee said "I missed you, Jake" and he said, "Awww I missed you too" . This was a sweet conversation to be a witness of because even though they love each other, Jake isn't one to show his affection for his little sister. I will never forget it.

Jake's class fieldtrip

I had a really great time at Jake's fieldtrip. It was exhausting but so much fun. Kaleb was able to come to the museum with us too. I love being with Jake. He is such a Momma's boy still and I love it. He stuck right by my side. I still can't believe he isn't embarrassed of me... Especially cuz I'm not the cutest Mom you'd ever see... hahaha!

Staheli Family Farm

We went to the Staheli Farm today. We have stayed home all weekend because we want to save our money so I was kinda discouraged because I have been so bored and anxious. We decided to use our dixie direct buy one get one and go out to the farm. It was a really enjoyable time. The kids had a great time.
Kaleb and Jaycee picked themselves a "small" pumpkin.

Jaycee wanted a pic with her Mother...??

Me and the kiddies!!

This rope swing was new this year. The kids LOVED it.

Here they are patiently waiting in line.
The kids REALLY liked the animals. Jake was actually loving it which is weird for him. He is a homebody and never likes to go anywhere for too long. We stayed for 4 hours and the kids still didn't want to leave.

The kids were all a little nervous at first to be in the "cage" with the animals. They all warmed up real quick.
I just feel so lucky to have such great kids. I really don't know what I did to deserve them. I love them all so much. They all helped me clean the house before the farm and they were all so good at the farm. They really get along with each other too. They don't fight too much and they all loved each other. I have definately been blessed in my life. I can't wait to add another little boy to our family. I know each one of my kids will love their little baby brother so much. I am so happy that they love and care for their siblings and parents like they do.

Girls Weekend

Last summer in July some of my high school friends went to Mesquite for a Girls weekend... I posted about it here... This year we went to Lacy Newby Franke's family cabin in Pine Valley. It was SO MUCH FUN. I just love each one of these girls. They are so fun. I love all the things I learn from each of them. I am so glad to be a part of this great group of girls. This time 4 of us were pregnant. I wish I would have got some pics of us pregnant girls. I brought my camera but never got it out.... I keep waiting for someone to post more pics. Thanks to Lacy for this one. I stole it from her blog... :)
I can't wait for next summer... we are already setting a date and planning some fun things. Thanks girls for a great time.

School pictures

I am never impressed with the school pictures. I send them to school with their hair all gelled up and in place and then by the time they get pics... it is crazy. I have since got Kaleb and Jake's haircut and I wish I had cut their hair before the pics instead of after. OH WELL>>> I am sure my SIL Aletha will be more than willing to take some more pics of these cuties after the baby comes right???
Kaleb - Kindergarten
(My scanner didn't do a very good job either but I thought they all had cute smiles on.... )
Jaycee - 2nd grade
Jake - 5th grade

I can't believe how big they are getting.

7 months pregnant

Me 5 months pregnant 7 months pregnant

First of all, YES, I still have TWO WHOLE MONTHS TO GROW! I know I am huge already but this is the way of my pregnancies. I WILL get bigger and I can't believe that!! :) Oh my goodness!! I have grown so much since my 5 month picture. I feel bigger but I really LOOK bigger than I thought. Remember I delivered a 10 pound baby last time and he was two weeks early. I kept putting this picture off because I never do my hair anymore and I didn't want a picture with my hair in a ponytail. It has been so hot to have my hair down. Lately the weather is cooling down and I am LOVING it so much. Every morning I wake up with a happyness I can't even explain. I love having the windows open and fresh breeze blowing through them. I love waking up to cool crisp air in my room. It is so nice.

I really feel so bad that I am not blogging more. I am not sure what is wrong with me. I don't take many pictures lately and I am just realizing that facebook has replaced my need for blogging. A year ago, I would blog to socialize. I loved being able to say how I feel and get a response. Now, I can post a status on facebook and get the same social reaction. The comments on blogs are sparse now. I admit that I don't check blogs like I used to and I don't comment like I used to either. This should not be a reason to stop blogging because I feel SO STRONGLY about journaling. I need to do this for my family and not just for my social sanity. hahaha

I am getting really excited about the baby. I have more fears with this pregnancy than I have had in the past. I think it might have to do with my last miscarriage. I just keep thinking about planning the baby blessing and I think, "what if he doesn't make it?" It is so strange to keep feeling that way. I feel him move ALL THE TIME. I know he is there, alive and kicking but I still fear that something will happen to him. I have never felt this way before. I'll be SO GRATEFUL to give birth to this baby boy and hear him cry and see that he is heathy and ok.
