Ethan is funny

Ethan always says the funniest stuff.  I thought I'd write a few things he said this past week. The first thing he said was, "If there was a non -sensitive forehead club I'd definitely not be able to join it cuz my forehead is REALLY sensitive!!"   We laughed so hard.  Where does he come up with his stuff?

The next thing he did was I got a gift from a friend from church.  In this gift was CTR gum.  He decided to eat a piece of that gum.  He chewed on it and then immediately went to his knees and said "I need to pray."  When he was finished praying he said, "Wow, that gum really works because it made me want to Choose the right really fast!!"

What would I do without this cute little guy?   We love him.

Cane Beds Fun

We have gone out to Cane Beds the past few weekends and it had been a blast.   The kids love it out there.  They ride motorcycles and four wheelers, catch frogs, shoot guns, play with cousins, Dutch oven dinners, roasting marshmallows and most importantly getting real dirty.

We are so grateful for a place to gather as a family and make memories.
Spencer found this kitty out at cane beds.  He brought her home without his mom wanting him to.  I thought this pic was cute of the kitty laying on joy.
Jake was awesome to take the kids for rides.
Ethan is learning to ride the four wheeler. Kaleb is such a good big brother to help teach him.

Cute snap picture of jake.
I had to add this picture of Jason cuddling with joy in his sleep. Ha ha
Jake is headed to his first dance.  He was asked to Homecoming by a girl.  Hahaha I wanted to take a picture and joy just had to pee right next to him.

I just cannot get enough of him.  His mission is coming up so fast.  He could be gone in nine months.  I love him.

The girl is named megan Knight. They went miniature golfing, watched a 4d scary movie that he said wasn't scary and then he is gone to the red Hill and then the dance after.  He had fun at the day date so I  am anxious to hear how his first dance went.
This picture shows Rylee, Jake and megan.

Jake got his wisdom teeth out!

Jake is going into get his wisdom teeth out.
He was pretty silly on the drugs and we have about an hour of funny videos but the thing that I loved about this experience was seeing his love and concern for everyone else and not himself.  He for emotional everytime he talked about his family or the gospel.  He told his dad and I how much he loves u.  He said," I just don't want anyone to be unhappy.".  He also bore his testimony of the gospel. He said, "I know the church is true and that I'm suppose to go in a mission and I will do good things ". Then I asked him if things the gospel is true and he said emotionally, "I know it is! I know it is!"

Another thing that was so funny was that when I went to pick up Ethan from school  I left jake home.  When I got back home jake was gone.  I asked Jaycee where he went and she said, "He is helping Sister Tea mow her lawn!". I was freaking out because he is still on medications and not all there.  It was pretty funny though.  He said, "I feel fine Mom!". Hahaha he felt bad die the neighbor that he couldn't help finish the lawn.  He is so sweet!

Jason and I were so touched by how sweet he is.  He was also funny and tried to tease us and make us laugh.  This boy of mine..... He is going to do some great things.... I know it!

Draven joined the army!

My nephew Draven joined the army and I am so proud of him and his service to our country.  He is doing amazing.

Sacrament program

My sweet Ethan had his primary program last Sunday.  This boy seriously melts my heart.  So the Saturday before we had a practice.  As you can see in the first picture... Ethan was having a hard time.  He wanted me to sit with him and didn't want to sing at all.  I told him maybe he should day a little prayer to ask Heavenly Father to help him have a better attitude. So he did and all the sudden he was happy and singing so great.

So the next day he got up and was excited to get all dressed up for his program.  He decided on his own to say a prayer and ask for Heavenly Father's help again.

During the program Ethan sang sogood. After each song Ethan turned back to tell me..."Mom, Heavenly Father helped me".  And "he helped me again.... Wasn't that great?"

My dad came to watch and Ethan would also give him thumbs up during the program.

The sweetest part of the whole thing was after the sacrament was over Instead of going to find his family.... Ethan sat down, bowed his head, folded his arms and said a prayer to thank his Heavenly Father for his help!!!

How did I get such a sweet faith filled boy like Ethan??  I am so proud of him. He sang the loudest and with so much conviction.  Everyone told him  how great he was.  I could tell he was very happy.

Rodeo time

The rodeo was fun.  Ethan decided he wanted to dress up like master chief.
After the rodeo all the kids wanted to run around in the arena.  It was fun to watch them.  Even the teenagers team around playing  tag. It was so cute.

Jaycee

This girl is so cute!!!

Baptisms for the dead

Kaleb finally got to go to the temple for baptisms for the dead for the first time.  Jaycee, jake and Kaleb all went together.  They are such wonderful kids and they are growing so close to the gospel.  I am so grateful for them.  I'm so happy they love each other.

We love going out to cane beds to spend time with the family.  This picture is of all the kids riding in the back of uncle trevors truck headed to bee's marketplace for treat.  The weather is cooling off and it had been so much fun.

Karate

Ethan is in a 6 week Karate class.  He loves it!!  He really wanted the costume.  It's so cute to watch him.

Lost Puppy!

A couple of weeks ago we lost Joy.   She was let out to go to the bathroom and the gate was accidentally left open.   Within 10 minutes she was gone.   It was so strange because she normally wouldn't run off.  Our family was desperately looking for her.  I was in tears thinking about how much my kids would hurt of we didn't find her.

Jason came home from work and gathered or family together in a prayer.   He said he felt strongly that jake should be the one to offer the prayer.  Jake lead us in a wonderful prayer while expressing gratitude for his siblings and family and also the time we had with Joy.  It was beautiful.  Immediately I had this feeling she was happy and being taken care of. I still was panicked and kept calling every where and posting on every possible  website.

Everyone was sad.  I was broken hearted for my children.  It was 4:00 when we lost  her.  At about 11 pm we got a knock on the door.  It was our neighbor Joey.   He told us his partner saw her roaming and took her in their house so she wouldn't get hit by a car.   I just hugged joey and told him thank you.  It was a precious moment.   I immediately remembered what the spirit whispered to me about joy being happy and being taken care of.

When Ethan woke up to Joy being home he said, "Heavenly Father brought her back to us. ".  Oh the faith of this little boy is amazing.
This was Ethan cuddling with Joy after she was found.   So sweet.

I never really wanted a house dog but this dog has been such a blessing to our home.  She is the best friend to each of my kids.  She always loves them and plays with them.  I am grateful for her.

This is Ethan watching a movie in Joys kennel with her.
