Kaleb

Today my 4 year old Kaleb said, ''Mom, I know who your favorite kid is. ''

Mom says, ''Oh really? Who is it?''

Kaleb said, ''Me!''

Everyone in the room laughs because we are suprised and it was cute. All the sudden a not so happy Kaleb replies, '' MOM I'm serious!! YOU LOVE ME!!!! ''

It made my day knowing that my Kaleb knows, without a doubt, how much I love him.

During the cut TA DA!! After the cut

After seeing it short again, it made me miss the long. What do you think? Does he look better with a shag haircut or nice short GQ??? I am not sure what I think at this point and I need some help!!

Public vs. Private.

My friend, Allison did a post about public Vs. Private. She asked what everyone's personal opinions are about the issue. I think it is a good idea to get input in what you all think. What is your opinion on Private blogs vs. Public blogs?

I like public blogs because I subscribe on Google reader and it shows me all the blogs that have posted on one page. This makes it a lot less time consuming. I admit that I do not check the private blogs as much because I forget. So, I would love to stay public because I think it gets more people looking at my blog.

On the other hand, I mentioned all the reasons I feel I should go private in this other post . What if there are people out there that like to read my blog who don't feel comfortable telling me they read it because we aren't friends or we don't personally know each other? I admit that a lot of the time I don't ask to be invited unless I feel connected to the person in some way. This doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy reading their blogs, it just felt uncomfortable. Even if I went to school with them and we know each other but we aren't really "friends" , I sometimes wouldn't ask depending on how comfortable I feel around them I guess.

I think blogs are a journal but they are also a way to socialize. I love to get comments on my blog. I love to hear what other people think. I like to get encouragement when I am having a bad day. I like to know I am not alone in the things I go through. Anyway, with that being said,

What do you all think???

Don't be shy now!!!

Ronalee's Grandkids picture.

Every year Ronalee asks for a photo of all her grandkids (along with Kasey, her youngest son). Kena is always so good to pick out the cute outfits and arrange everything. I was suprised how smooth it went this year. We just keep adding more and more kids to it. It is fun. Malea did a great job, as always.

Do you ever want to post but you don't have much to post about??? That is the mood I am in right now. Jason has been working in Vegas the past two weeks. We are so grateful for the job and he is having a good time working with Nick (Our BIL). It has really made he and I appreciate each other more. I miss him more than I thought I would and he misses me too. I think we take advantage of all the little things we share with our spouses. Little things like having someone to talk to at the end of the night. Someone to watch a show with. Someone to cuddle with right before you go to sleep. Someone to call when your car breaks down (yes, my car dies ALL the time!! lol ) . Someone who can pick up the kids when you are stuck in a long line. All the little things ya know?? I am very grateful for my husband and all the things he does for our family. He has dedicated his life to making a living for us. I am very lucky.

Jason took the kids and I to Pirate Island Pizza for my birthday today. It was really fun. I have never been there before. I will have to save my pennies for a couple months to be able to go again but it was a fun thing to do with my family. Luckily Jake had a free kid meal coupon. The kids really enjoyed it and I just love seeing them have fun and playing together. It is weird that I am going to be 31 tomorrow. I still feel so young.

Thanks to all of you who left comments on my last post. Thank you so much for all your love and support. I am so lucky to have such great friends who see the best in me when I have so many faults.

Going Private still but...

I am still going private but I am just waiting a while so that I make sure everyone lets me know their email addresses... I think the end of January first of February I'll switch over.

Until then, if you haven't left me your email address, please do so.

I haven't been journaling on my blog because of misunderstandings from certain people. When I blog, I don't know how to be any other way then me. Some people have filters in their lives, I don't. I am not sure why I don't but... I just don't. There are things that I keep private like details about my husband and our relationship and my in law relations and all that. I do know my boundaries when it comes to other people. When it comes to me and talking about my personal struggles, I have no filter. I am who I am and I don't know how to be different.

I will have to go into more detail when I am privately blogging to those I trust and those who know me. I asked 4 of my friends that I would give me honest answers. Three of these friends didn't misunderstand any of my writing but one of my friends that I asked did tell me that some things I write make her worried that people won't understand me. I look back at my blog and I STILL don't know what is wrong with my writing. That is the crazy thing. I am not going to lose sleep over it but I also don't want to have people misunderstanding me. It isn't that I care what people think but there may be a few people (I won't tell you who cuz that would be putting out too much personal information and I wouldn't want that now would I?) that may be uncomfortable with everyone knowing how I feel. So here's to my last embarrassing month of posts to the ones who don't want anyone to know that I am not perfect. ha ha ha

(I am not depressed or suicidal for all you who think I am. I love my family and children more than anything in the world. I know that I can live a better life but I have a struggle with putting myself first. I am always thinking of everyone else. I am like many mothers on this earth. I have struggles like everyone else. I just chose to talk about them and not hold them in.)

So, it is a new year. I looked back at my new years goal for 2008 and I was happy to say I accomplished 50% of the goals. I was pretty happy with that. The one I didn't too well with was getting healthy and making dinner 4 times a week. Althought my husband did mention that my dinners did increase over the last year so that is good!!!

Here are my goals for 2009:

Get healthy -FO REALS YO! I'm going to set a goal to lose atleast 50 pounds this year. Maybe that is more realistic than 100?? That is 1 pound a week - 4.3 per month.

Be better at FHE and Scripture Study and Family Prayers. I'll show some improvement this year. It is hard to be the leader but it is IMPORTANT!

Stop complaining about my weight and start doing something about it this includes being more positive too. This is do - able.

Shave my legs more- he he he, You think I'm kidding don't ya????? lol

So, four goals a year seem to be reachable. I think I can get 50% or higher this year right? I'll try for 100% BUT I am only human. This has been a good post. PHEW!! I needed that. I started this post kinda discouraged and ended all excited. hmmmm.

Fun times!!

Bob's family invited us out to play with them while they camped. It was lots of great fun.

Here is Jake on a motorcycle.

Kaleb loved the guns. He was so cute to watch. He has it all figured out.

Bob has a clay pigeon thing that the guys had a blast with. They all had the biggest smile on their faces. It was fun to watch. This is Bob - farthest, Jason ,Brian and Jake (closest). Ready, set, pull!!!

Here they are again. Brian, Jason and Bob.

Jake was lucky to hit one of the targets.
We invited Kasey to come along. We just love him.

Jaycee on the Fourwheeler.
Even Kaleb rode a four wheeler all by himself. I can't believe he is only 4. He is so good at riding and being so careful.
This was just a funny picture that I wanted to post. Grandma Cox bought Grandpa this fun hat for Christmas. He was so proud to wear it. I thought it was so cute that I had to take a picture of him. Jake tried it on too. (below)
